Natalie grew up in Hawaii and Boulder, CO, attending Waldorf schools where she first learned to love art, handcrafts, and using her imagination. She went on to study cello performance at Adelphi University and opera performance at CU Boulder. She has performed in summer opera programs in Texas and Italy, and is a member of Colorado's Opera On Tap. She currently teaches choir and the all-school musical at Tara Performing Arts High School, offers private lessons in cello and voice, and does house-/pet-sitting on the side. She enjoys reading, baking, and cuddling with her fellow yarn artist and annual winner of "Cutest Cat" award, Pip.
Welcome to my shop! My name is Natalie. I'm a classical singer, music teacher and long-time lover of all things wool and yarn. For many years I have given away my work as gifts, taking joy in the process of creating, but recently I have turned toward selling my more artisanal pieces with the intention of supporting my life and putting my work out into the world.

The beauty of handmade work - especially something you wear, look at, or touch every day - is that you get to live into the story of its creation. A hat that began life as wool on a Highland sheep now keeps your head warm in fall; a blanket in the soft colors of a winter morning wraps you in a heavy embrace by the fire; a felted owl that emerged from imagination now takes on a life of its own in the hands of a child. When we bring handmade pieces into our homes, we bring manifested sparks of inspiration into our own lives.

Everything you see on this site is currently one-of-a-kind and/or available for commission (my preferred method of crafting)! Bear in mind when commissioning a piece, it will take between 1-4 weeks to complete and be delivered to you -- longer, if the materials must be ordered from overseas.
I am also in the process of setting up workshops in the Boulder area - if you are interested in the basics of knitting, special crochet stitch-alongs, or wondering what needle felting is, stay tuned!
